I live in Brisbane and am eager to commence a Tiny House livelihood. I have lived on and off in Brisbane for about 20 years. I work as a social worker, a social work academic and am most passionate about Outdoor Health training for ‘healthcare professionals’ and am part of a national and international training team based out of Tasmania, Adventure Works Inc (https://adventureworks.org.au/training/). I have had a growing interest in sustainable, politically and environmentally responsive living approaches for many years, and I link this to my work and personal life. I am very much enjoying the creative process of building this Tiny House with Tiny Tect (https://www.tinyhousestinytect.com.au/product/tiny-house-8m-wildscape/). My Tiny House will be complete by early June and I am eager to move into the Tiny and be closer to the mountains and ocean. Ideally, for the first phase of living in my Tiny I want to be connected to the ‘grid’ with electricity and water, and I have a composting toilet. I travel a bit with work and have a full life so I am eager to just pay land rent. This Tiny will be my primary living, with one other person regularly visiting and I am excited that this will be happening in 2026!. I am eager to connect with a landlord who is sustainably minded and has care for people and planet and for the complexities that are occurring in this world that is creating division. I am eager to find land for 6- 12 months to start with in the Byron Bay hinterland, Gold Coast hinterland or Sunshine Coast area. Being within 1.5/2 hours from Brisbane is needed.
