My name is Glen, a POM who has made Perth his home for the last 20 years, and has loved every single moment of it… my Parents moved here, from London, in 2002, and I soon followed, after falling in love with Perth, on my very first visit… I worked in the City, while in London, and for the last 13 years, I have been a Funeral Celebrant, here in Perth… and, at last count, have helped coming up to 2,000 families farewell their loved ones… from Children to Centenarians… from ‘no attendees’ to ‘footy stadiums’… with respect… with love… and with plenty of joy… and am blessed to have been able to do so… I love my work, and plan to continue working for the foreseeable future… however, I have just had a big birthday… This has meant that I have brought a fair amount of ‘emotion’ home with me, every day… and while I wouldn’t change a thing, it has certainly allowed me to put how I live my life in perspective… I have recently sold my home, in the Swan Valley, and my ‘Tiny’, is currently under construction by the current ‘Tiny Home Builder of the Year’, as featured on the YouTube show: ‘Living Big in a Tiny Home’… she is 10m long x 3m wide x 4.3m high…I live alone… with my gorgeous 13 year old Greyhound: Archie, who is full of love, hugs, and kisses… Archie and I have been together, since we rescued each other, 10 years ago…
I am currently looking for a secluded space to park my Tiny… hopefully to allow me to live simply, quietly, privately and peacefully, among nature… if I can find a welcoming Host with a space, hopefully with a beautiful view… in the hills… overlooking trees and grass… offering solitude… that would be my dream… If there was the opportunity to establish a small veggie garden, that would be wonderful, but not a dealbreaker… I hope to add a deck to the Tiny at some point… and plan to be completely ‘off-grid’… however, if there was electricity, water, and septic available I would consider using it at first… I will go fully ‘off-grid’ straight away, for the perfect spot, if necessary…
