Did you know there are hundreds of Landowner’s across Australia right now kicking back while their otherwise unused space generates them on average between $7,800-$10,400 in fixed, passive income every year per site. How? By hosting tiny homes.Â
Landowner’s along with the rest of the country have begun to cotton-on to the untapped opportunity presented by the rapidly growing tiny house movement in Australia.Â
With the huge undersupply of affordable housing across the country many people are opting to ‘go tiny’ (AKA to purchase and live in their very own tiny home). Â
While tiny homes are mostly affordable, purchasing the land to put them on is not, hence ‘tiny houser’s’ are seeking an alternate solution. The solution to ‘going tiny’ on a budget is to lease land to ‘park’ and occupy the tiny home on.Â
If someone is looking to lease land for their tiny home there are two options; lease a site at a caravan park or lease a site on private property. Given the choice most tiny houser’s are looking for a parking spot on private land where they can enjoy more privacy and space.Â
Many Landowner’s are offering their land for people with a tiny home to park and live on under a lease agreement, in exchange for weekly rent. A site for a tiny home typically rents for between $150-$200 per week ($7,800-$10,400 per year) on average.Â
For Landowner’s this involves simply providing an empty site for lease on their property and a connection point to services if required by the Tenant.Â
There are minimal to no upfront or ongoing costs for a Landowner to host a tiny home, and next to no upfront or ongoing work which makes this the ultimate, low-cost method to making passive income from your land. Â
